KEIRA GLEN

Prior to the development of this site as residential land, this vegetation was highly disturbed and dominated by weed species. Following civil works, most of the vegetation had been removed and a few remnant large trees remained.

Renèe Tenhave prepared a Vegetation Management Plan for the restoration of the site. Locally native plants species reflecting the original plant community were installed. Weed removal was carried out over a two year period while regenerating indigenous plants were allowed to establish.

The resulting self sustaining plant community was successfully handed over to Wollongong Council to consolidate with the adjoining public reserve.

Detom Design has prepared further Vegetation Management Plans and landscape plans for subsequent stages of this development.
