SAILORS BAY CREEK

Sailors Bay Creek runs through an urban infill site in the northern Sydney suburb of Willoughby. Plans were developed for an integrated housing development incorporating a public park, residential lots and housing in addition to the restoration of this urban riparian corridor. Water Sensitive Urban Design principles were employed to ensure clean water was discharged into the riparian system. Significant screening was provided to ensure the visual impact of a large retaining wall was minimised. The concept design and detailed design and implementation of stage 1 of this project was carried out for Siteplus by Renèe Tenhave.
