HOLROYD SUBSTATION

Detom Design was contracted by Alstom Grid Australia to assist with their winning tender bid and subsequent detailed landscape design for the $100 million TransGrid Holroyd and Rookwood Substations project. The project involves the design and construction of 330/132kV substations at both Holroyd and Rookwood for the Greater Western Sydney Supply Project. Detom Design is also assisting Alstom Grid throughout the construction and maintenance stages.

For the 3.5Ha suburban Holroyd site, we created a best practice ecological restoration strategy to reintroduce indigenous flora where endangered ecological communities were previously present. A strong emphasis on screening was incorporated to enhance visual amenity for adjoining residential development and cycle routes.
