MACARTHUR SUBSTATION

TransGrid wished to construct a 330/132 kV substation to assist with electricity supply into the south west Sydney growth corridor. The selected 9 Ha Macarthur site is situated adjacent to the sensitive Mt Annan Botanic Gardens site and the major F5 Hume Highway.

Renèe Tenhave was approached by AREVA T&D to assist with their bid for the design and implementation of this project. Renèe prepared a detailed landscape rehabilitation strategy report , accompanying landscape concept plan and detailed costing estimates for the successful bid. She assisted throughout the project through to its completion and handover. Her role included detailed design, stakeholder liaison, tender advice and construction and maintenance advice to AREVA T&D.
