THE COTTAGE GARDEN

Detom Design has provided the landscape design to suit this cute 1930s cottage. The Cottage Garden is a work in progress being built on weekends by the owners. At only 5 months old, the bones are taking shape beautifully - drystone walls, stepping stone paving and garden features.

The plantings include a mix of both ornamental and edible plants as is traditional in a cottage garden. Daisies, Lavender, Fringe Flower and Coast Rosemary sit comfortably with Thyme, Rosemary, Sage, Lemon Grass and Garlic and both perennial and seasonal vegetables.

There are still stone steps to install and the planting needs to mature but passers by take great enjoyment and keep commenting on how lovely the garden is.
